Rachel's Graduation

So, last weekend we made the six hour trip back to Birmingham for my sister's graduation. Birmingham holds a lot of good memories for Josh and I. It was good to get back and reminisce. It was also great to see my little sister get her college degree. It seems hard to believe that it is already time for her to graduate and enter the real world with the rest of us. Of course, she soared through college with great success and will be great at whatever she chooses to do as a career. It was also inspiring to be back and remember what I felt like when I graduated from the same college, two years ago. I felt like I had the world ahead of me, that I could accomplish anything I set out to do. Over the past two years, I have lost a little bit of that luster, but being in that auditorium on Saturday made me realize what a great accomplishment receiving a college degree is and how much power I do have to accomplish my dreams. Sometimes all we need to get out of a rut is a little reminder of the great moments in our lives, moments where we felt truly alive and capable of conquering the world. This weekend was one of those moments, a refreshing wake-up call from the too often mediocrity of life. I have included a few pictures, as promised, of the joyous occcasion.
