Painting and Football

Well, I am excited about the new look of our blog.  Maybe, it will give me some renewed inspiration to update it!  It is finally Fall!!! I love Fall.  It is by far my favorite season and living in Savannah, I have to savor every rare moment.   It has been nice this year though.  No pretty leaves, but the weather has turned colder and I am actually wearing long sleeve shirts.  Today was a perfect Fall day.  Since we had no Calvary activities (which is a miracle in itself), we decided to paint our dining room where we had taken a border down.  The plan was to match the paint so we would only have to paint the border.  We went to Home Depot to get the paint and all the necessary equipment.  We figured that it would take at the most an hour and a half to prime and paint the part of the wall where the border had been.  While Josh was priming, I had decided to touch up some spots on the wall and when I did, we discovered that the paint we had bought did not resemble the paint already on the wall.  By that time, it was too late. I had taken a roller to the wall and there was a giant bluish-green stripe.  Needless to say, we did finish painting the rest of the wall and the three others with the new paint.  At least we liked the color!  And it is a great excuse to get new curtains!  Moral of the story, use a small part of the wall to test the paint and therefore, save your Saturday and your husband's sanity.  Add another story to the book, We'll Laugh About This Someday :)  The saving grace of the day was that our dining room looks directly into the living room and we were able to watch football all day long!  Thank goodness it wasn't the bathroom.
