We're Still Here

Well, my attempt to keep our blog updated has failed, but I am not giving up. Since our last post, I (Ashley) have graduated with my Master's in Sociology. I am currently working at Calvary Day School as a permanent substitute, but God has really been reminding me of my passion to work with poverty and hunger issues. I hope to find a job in that area before summer. I have also recently started teaching English to a Japanese lady named Saori, a Korean lady named Young Seon and her daughter, Sena. It has been challenging yet very rewarding.

Josh continues to stay very busy with church stuff. He is also currently directing the school play, Annie. He and the singles minister, Jacob Connell have started a Sunday night service called MERGE, geared toward a younger adult audience. It has been a blessing to see new faces every service. He is preparing for a busy spring, with two events every month! God continues to bless us at Calvary.

We are looking forward to taking a break from sunny Savannah this weekend and heading north to West Virginia for some slope action. We are taking a group of kids up to Winterplace, WV to ski. Hopefully, everybody will remain injury-free. Last year, Jacob Connell broke his collarbone and Josh dislocated his elbow. At least the kids didn't get hurt :0

Well I must go for now but hopefully will be updating the blog much more requently.
